1. Describe the picture

In the Studio, open the Picture tab. In What the picture should show, write:

A cosy fantasy tavern at night, seen from the street, warm light in the windows, snow on the roof, a wooden sign reading "The Black Cat" above the door, digital painting, wide shot

Choose the Format: Square (1024×1024), Portrait (1024×1536) or Landscape (1536×1024). A street is wide: choose Landscape.

Click Make the picture. The button says Drawing… for about ten seconds, a little longer in portrait or landscape. The picture appears under the form, and Download saves the PNG.

When we tried this description, the sign above the door said “The Black Cat”, spelled right.

2. What to write

A good description says five things:

What to say For example
Subject what is in the picture, and what it is doing a red fox curled up asleep
Setting where and when in an autumn forest, at dawn
Style how it is drawn watercolour, pixel art, low-poly 3D, flat vector illustration, photo, digital painting
Light where the light comes from, and its colour soft morning light, neon in the rain, candlelight
Framing how close, and from where close-up, wide shot, seen from above, side view

Put together: A red fox curled up asleep in an autumn forest at dawn, watercolour, soft morning light, close-up.

Descriptions work in Italian too. Short is fine, vague is not: “a fox” gives you a fox, but not yours.

3. Words inside the picture

For a sign, a title or a label, write the description in English and put the exact words in quotes. The words themselves can be Italian:

A wooden sign reading "Benvenuti" at the entrance of a medieval village

In a description written in Italian, the words in the picture often come out misspelled.
